Support FAQ’s

How can I give by check?2021-03-17T21:22:24-06:00

Please send checks to:
13707 Cottonwood Canyon Rd.
Bozeman, Montana 59718

Is it safe to give online?2021-03-17T21:23:37-06:00

Yes. In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. The security of the system is continually managed by Virtuous & WePay (Credit Card processor) who securely manage our online giving platform.

What types of bank accounts can I give from?2021-03-17T21:24:13-06:00

You can give online from your checking account, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express and eCheck.

Are there any fees involved with giving online?2021-03-17T21:24:51-06:00

Covering the cost of fees associated with online giving is up to you. We always appreciate the donor covering processing fees but that is an option to select in the giving form process.

What about End-of-Year Donations?2021-03-17T21:27:07-06:00

The general IRS rule is that a donation is effective when delivered. This means that a check received by YAA in January 2021 cannot be deducted in 2020, even if backdated to 2020. One exception – checks mailed and postmarked by December 31, 2020 are deductible in 2020 even though not received until 2021. The donor is responsible for ensuring that the U.S. Postal Service postmarks the envelope by December 31, 2020. If in doubt, we suggest that you hand-deliver the mailing envelope to the post office and have them stamp the postmark on the envelope. Online donations may be made until midnight on December, 31. Please Do Not file your taxes before receiving your contribution statement from YAA, which is sent out in January.
