Beyond the Pines
A fundraising gala supporting YAA’s Ascend Campaign
In a time when the cultural climate presents many challenges, we believe more than ever in the power and purpose behind our mission. We are continuing on in the exciting journey with our Ascend Campaign — a project designed to establish this property as a dedicated space for meaningful encounters with Christ. Our goal is to ensure that Yellowstone Alliance Adventures remains a place where future generations can experience life-changing moments of faith and transformation.

Invite guests, share the story, and be part of building what’s next.

Ascend Campaign
For over 60 years, YAA has provided hope to youth and families in the Gallatin Valley through our camp programs, and by offering a space set-apart for guests to gather for meaningful and transformational experiences.
Since 2010, major depressive episodes among American teens have more than doubled, largely attributed to a shift from play-based childhood to a more digital-focused lifestyle. In Montana, 16% of children ages 3–17 have received mental health care since 2021, reflecting growing concerns over youth mental health. Contributing to this crisis, the average U.S. child spends less than 40 minutes per week in meaningful conversation with their parents, underscoring the impact of disconnected relationships on
mental well-being.
YAA believes in the importance of doing our part to combat the national trends targeting youth and families. The staff and Board of Directors are compelled to renew our committment to the ministry at YAA in an effort to ensure future generations have access to this dynamic place of hope and restoration.
A fresh season of rebuilding is taking place, and the journey of the Ascend Campaign, a multi-phase effort has begun.
Phase 1
Phase 1 focuses on addressing the critical need to replace outdated, inadequate facilities and create space for growth and expansion to serve more guests effectively.
-
Cabin Village: These seven 2-story cabins will provide comfortable and modern accommodations, allowing us to welcome more campers and guests. Each cabin is designed to foster community and provide a home away from home for everyone who visits YAA.
-
Waterfront: The addition of a lake on YAA's property will both enhance camper and guests experience with a fun new activity. It will also practically become a helpful water supply access point in our canyon for potential fire suppression needs.
-
Gathering Space: A two-story gathering space building will replace the old chapel building and offer a larger upper-floor gathering space along with two classrooms on the lower level with bathroom facilities also in the building.
Outcomes
-
Increased Capacity and Comfort: The new cabins will allow us to accommodate 34 more campers each week, creating a more inclusive and engaging camp experience. These cabins also allow us to increase our retreat group capacity to comfortably serve up to 150 guests.
-
Activity Area Enhancement: Waterfront activities will offer dynamic and exciting new recreation to our campers and guests.
