YAA is looking for college-aged students who are excited about serving Jesus in Montana! The Joshua Project is designed for those who desire to develop as effective leaders. Camp provides intentional experiences to challenge and deepen your faith in Jesus Christ through meaningful community, memorable adventures, and sharing the Gospel. The Joshua Project creates the framework on which our camps run.

Positions

Camp Counselors

Camp Counselors are on the front line, with the mot direct impact on campers’ lives! They are on fire for sharing the gospel and giving their 8-12 campers the best week of their summer.

Life Guard

Lifeguards are part of the Activity Team in which they are overseeing our waterfront when it is open. Outside of that time, they jump in and support in a variety of areas with other Activity area staff.

Activity Area Assistant

Activity Area Assistants run and manage all activity areas of YAA. Activity areas may include, zipline, archery range, rifle range, wilderness skills, crafts and more.

Day Camp Team Captains

Day Camp Team Captains are on the front line of our Day Camps. They have direct contact with our day campers (1st-4th grade) and are leading their team of campers during the week.

Program Assistants

Program Assistants dive deep into everything YAA. They serve the campers by planning all of the schedules, games, and activities. Program assistants are leaders amongst their fellow Joshua Staff.

Media Team

The Media Team documents all of the fun, crazy, life-changing adventures here at YAA. They capture all of the memories that the campers have, helping them remember their camp experience forever!

Maintenance Team

The Maintenance Team works behind-the-scenes to keep camp running. They help make camp a beautiful, safe environment for kids to have a blast. Be prepared to learn skills that you can apply to life!

Journalist

Similar to the Media Team, Journalist document all of the fun, crazy, life-changing adventures here at YAA. They craft and share the story of camp and camper experiences to YAA's broader audience.

Timothy Program Leaders

Timothy Program Leaders spend their summer leading 20 high school students who participate in our leadership development program. Laugh, cry, and do life with these developing young leaders.

Kitchen Assistants

Kitchen Assistants serve the Lord through their time cooking for the campers and staff. Additionally, they learn from our master chef as they prepare thousands of meals! Camp literally couldn’t happen without them!

Worship Leaders

Worship Leaders love to lead others through music. We are looking for people who have a passion for leading campers and fellow staff members through songs that will give a glimpse of who Jesus is!

About Compensation

Joshua Project members have two options for compensation. Regardless of selection, all members will be provided room and board throughout the summer program. These options are:

  1. Non-reimbursed volunteer – does not include financial reimbursement.

  2. Reimbursed volunteer – requires fundraising to fund reimbursement.
    (YAA will provide guidelines, assistance, and expectations for fundraising.)

  3. Please note: All staff must pass a mandatory criminal history check. They must also be willing to adhere to the same standards and expectations that guide all of our camp programs. Staff will be hired based upon one’s spiritual walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, maturity, abilities in the field in which they are being hired, willingness to serve, and the desire to become an able leader.
